Moving In - Opening Up!

Its official, we've signed the lease for the space at 22 East Winter Street!

We are planning to have our Grand Opening on the First Friday of December!!! We are planning a fantastic kick-off! Hope you can join us! More details to come!

We have a lot of work to do still:
Prepping walls in gallery
Painting
Cleaning
Hanging Lights
Electrical (don't worry, this is being done by the professionals)

Will be working in the space the weekend after Thanksgiving. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us: artcompartment@gmail.com or cityartcenter22@gmail.com

We also have a lot of materials to purchase:
Lighting
Plywood
Drywall
Wood
Screws
Paint
Plus some other miscellaneous building materials

More Progress!

We are so excited to share even more progress on the space! This past Saturday, we had a bunch of great volunteers that blew us away! We got so much more done that we had anticipated. We spent much of our time stripping out bad wiring and then everyone pitched in to work on chiseling away to expose the brick on the columns in the gallery area, as well as a few other things that needed to be done. It was quite messy, however we had a great time among friends and family! Thanks to everyone who pitched in to help us get a step closer to opening our doors!

As I took the picture prior to this, the flash went off just at the moment that Jason had clipped the wire. He thought he was electrocuted and it was all over.
